YCL Meeting Notes 6/11/22

 YCLs,

Thanks to all who came to the meeting yesterday! We were able to coordinate lots of aspects of camp in order to begin finalizing our plans. Here are the notes from the meeting:

Finalized T-Shirt Design
Our t-shirt committee did a great job of creating our t-shirt logo. The shirts are in the process of being made and should be ready before camp!

Semi-Finalized Schedule
At our May meeting we created the schedule. Because it was so tight, we have tweaked it a little bit. Here is what it looks like right now (keep in mind, we may shift things as needed).

Finalizing the rest of our plans
Each committee needs to have detailed finalized plans this week, so that we can gather supplies, go shopping for supplies, finalize our schedule, and finish all of our planning. Use the google doc to share your finalized plans with us. In addition to that, each committee needs to sign up for a time to zoom meet with Sister Padilla and I to talk through your plans. This is super helpful in making sure we have thought through the details. We will be available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week from 4-6pm. Talk with your committee, choose a time together that works for you, and then let me know on this google form ASAP. We will send out Zoom or Google Meet links after we get responses from you.

Beads!
We forgot to talk about beads at the last meeting. If we want to have beads for the various activities at camp, we need to be thinking of them now. Please use this google doc to brainstorm ideas for beads. We should do sibling / mother daughter beads, beads for each high adventure, beads for the different skills classes as well as beads for some of the free time activities. I have tons of leftover terracotta colored clay that we can shape into whatever we want and paint, so keep that in mind as you are brainstorming.

Last Week Before Camp Schedule
The last week before camp I will be at the Stake Center Tuesday - Friday from 9-12. That time will be used to gather supplies from the shed, make beads, put together songbooks and schedules, put our girls into their pods, and any other things that still need doing. Please come as much of that time as you are able. Many hands makes light work! Lots of those jobs are tedious if you are the only one doing them, but go so fast when we have lots of helpers.

You guys have done an amazing job creating a vision for this camp! We have 2 weeks left to make that vision a reality. It is going to be a busy two weeks, but it is also going to be amazing! I look forward to seeing all of our labors come to fruition!

Love,
Sister Presley
