Wow, lots of changes last week! We are reaching out to the girls who have been moved (either into or out of our stake), so be aware that your committees will probably shift a bit, but until you hear more, please keep moving forward with whatever plans you were making, and come to the next meeting ready to report back. Here is a reminder of your action items and the upcoming meetings:


Action Items - please make sure you have done all of these before the next meeting:
  1. Research high adventure ideas near camp and submit at least one idea to the google form.
  2. Submit at least one idea for skills classes (things you might want to learn or teach, and things the girls in your wards might want to learn)
  3. Attendance form - this is something new! This will help us keep track of everyone's participation. Even if you weren't there, fill this out! You can get "attendance" for participating in other ways!
  4. Committee actions - everyone should have at least one action item for their committee! For this first meeting, your action can be to get each other's information and come up with a plan of how you will communicate (If your group did not put their notes on the Google Doc, please do that!)
  5. If you have T-shirt design ideas, you can upload a sketch (doesn't have to be a polished image). Our theme is "Simply Beautiful, Beautifully Simple"

Upcoming meetings:
  • March 25 @ 7 pm (this is a change from what we discussed! There is a Stake activity on Saturday morning, so we switched to the night before) (MV building)
  • April 23 @ 9 am (Stake Center - this is a change due to basketball)
  • May 21 @ 9 am & 10:30 am Camp Kickoff (Stake Center)
  • June 11 @ 9 am (Stake Center)
  • We will also have something the week before camp - date and time TBD
  • June 27-July 1 - Camp!
We will no longer be offering the meetings on Zoom, please plan on being there in person! If you are unable to attend, you NEED to fill out the attendance google doc and let us know what you are doing to help with the planning. Remember that camp planning is the YCLs responsibility. Sister Padilla and I are here to help streamline the process, and help you plan, but the bulk of the planning is yours. That can only happen if you are participating and communicating!

 YCLs and Adult Leaders, I need to practice a few things on Zoom before camp starts next week, so I am having an open zoom meeting Monday morning at 10am. If you have any questions about camp or want clarification of what will happen, (or want to practice anything for your classes YCLs), this is a great chance to come ask questions! YW Camp Update

Dearest YCLs, I am sad to say that we are officially NOT having Young Women's camp this year. As we all know, things are crazy in the world right now, and I am sad (but not really surprised) that the First Presidency has cancelled all camps for the time being. We will NOT be having any planning meetings until further notice. With that said, there is a possibility of some kind of activity towards the end of the summer, depending on what happens in Maryland and the rest of the world.
