YCL class sign up and more

YCLs,

Virtual Young Women's camp is less than three weeks away! I have taken all of the input from the Planning Survey, as well as ideas from the girls from registration, and put together a tentative schedule of classes. In order for us to have all of these classes, we need teachers! I would like each YCL to sign up to plan/teach one class. (if you sign up for something you can't teach, you would be responsible for finding a teacher for that class) You may sign up with someone else if you want to teach together, but all of the classes need teachers, so please don't all sign up for the same classes.  Please sign up ASAP (anyone not signed up for a class by Friday will be assigned one)

These classes will most likely be held over zoom, so keep that in mind as you plan what you want to do. After everyone has signed up, I will check in periodically with everyone to make sure they have a plan and have what they need for their class to be successful. 

We will also be having a movie night and a game night. We need ideas for this! The google doc with the classes has a place at the bottom for movie and game ideas. Use that space to brainstorm! Again, please put any ideas by Friday!

A few other things for your information - you will be assigned a small group of girls. You will have time on the first day to lead "get to know you" activities with these girls, so start thinking ahead to what you would like to do for that. You will also have time with these girls each day for small group scripture study (I'm using the talks and scriptures you guys suggested to make a study guide), and a tuck in each night (maybe to read a bedtime story, or just have "good night" conversation). You girls are amazing! Thanks for jumping in and helping make this camp happen. I know that some of us really need this, and by helping plan, you are creating something special for these girls.

 YCLs and Adult Leaders, I need to practice a few things on Zoom before camp starts next week, so I am having an open zoom meeting Monday morning at 10am. If you have any questions about camp or want clarification of what will happen, (or want to practice anything for your classes YCLs), this is a great chance to come ask questions! YW Camp Update

Dearest YCLs, I am sad to say that we are officially NOT having Young Women's camp this year. As we all know, things are crazy in the world right now, and I am sad (but not really surprised) that the First Presidency has cancelled all camps for the time being. We will NOT be having any planning meetings until further notice. With that said, there is a possibility of some kind of activity towards the end of the summer, depending on what happens in Maryland and the rest of the world.
